This may be a good meeting to have covered, even though it is about a raise of a faculty member. It is significant to the community because of the number of faculty members involved. I'm sure if this article was written by one of you, it would have been even better, since you would have added more context and background research on the meeting (e.g. economic background, layoffs, program prioritization, etc.)
